Early Bird and Regular Registration

Early bird registration period is between 4th August to 1st December 2014 for presenting authors.

The prices for the standard, PhD student and Post Graduate/Undergraduate student registration include the welcome reception on December 15, participation in all sessions of the conference, lunch, tea-coffee during breaks for all three days of conference (December 16-18), conference dinner and the conference proceedings on a USB stick. Travel and accommodation expenses are EXCLUDED from Early Bird or Regular Registration fees.

* A discounted rate of INR 24,000 will be offered to a maximum of 25 PhD/Post Graduate students whose abstracts have been selected for full paper submission through ConfTool. To avail discounted rates, a PhD/PG student must first submit a scanned copy of her/his University’s official letter and University ID card as proof of ‘student’ status. Students must proceed to payment of fees after receiving confirmation from PLEA Secretariat.

Terms and Conditions of Payment

By paying the registration fees, you are confirming that you will agree to the terms and conditions given below.
(i)

Registration fee includes the Welcome Reception on December 15, 2014.

(ii)

The prices for the Standard, PhD/Post Graduate and Undergraduate Student registration include the welcome reception on 15th December 2014, participation in all sessions of the conference, lunch, tea-coffee during breaks for all three days of conference (16th December to 18th December 2014), conference dinner and the conference proceedings on a USB stick.

a)

Travel and accommodation expenses are EXCLUDED from Early Bird or Regular Registration fees. Accommodation is offered only for ‘Extreme Early Bird Registration’. The registration to the conference must be done through the online registration system. Participants will receive an automatic confirmation of the registration details. If you do not obtain any notification, please send an email to secretariat@plea2014.in.

b)

Registration will only be effective on receipt of the registration fee or after authorization of credit card payment and if applicable, submission of student status proof. You may send an email on secretariat@plea2014.in once you have completed your payment along with details of payment. Please note that it would take a few days for the payment to appear in the PLEA 2014 bank account.

c)

As per PLEA guidelines, while multiple authorship is encouraged, the Organization accepts only one paper per registration. One registration only allows for one paper to be presented. One registered delegate may present up to two papers, provided the presenter is a co-author on both papers and both papers are registered separately.

(iii) Payment of Fees
a)

Payment of registration fees should be done via the ConfTool website www.conftool.pro/plea2014.

b)

Payment of registration fees may be done through a Wire Transfer or Credit/Debit Card (preferred).

c)

Please note that all additional charges for national/international transaction as well as currency conversion have to be borne by the participant. Net payment as applicable to delegate should be received in our bank account. Participant is liable to pay for the difference at the time of conference.

d) Online Payment of Registration Fees

We accept online payment through Credit and Debit Card of MasterCard and VISA and Net Banking. In case your card issuing Bank is enrolled for MasterCard Secure Code and VBV, you should register your card for MasterCard Secure Code OR VBV (Verified by VISA) prior to making the payment. We do not accept payment through commercial/corporate cards. For online payment through credit card, debit card or net banking following charges will be levied as conveyance charges.

  • Domestic Credit Card: 2.5% of transaction amount + S.T. as applicable.
  • Domestic Debit Card: 0.75% of transaction amount for transaction value up to INR 2000/- + S.T. as applicable.
  • Domestic Debit Card: 1% of transaction amount for transaction value above INR 2000/- + S.T. as applicable
  • Net Banking transaction: 1.65% of transaction amount + S.T. as applicable
  • International Credit & Debit card: 2.75% of transaction amount + S.T. as applicable

We don’t levy any currency conversion charges, card issuing bank may levy some currency conversion charges and it may differ from bank to bank.

(iv) Cancellation
a)

For cancellations until November 16, 2014, we will charge a service fee of INR 6,100 and the remaining amount will be refunded.

b)

For cancellations later than November 16, 2014 no refund will be given.

c)

The date of the receipt of the cancellation request will determine the cancellation charge.

d)

Participants who do not cancel and do not attend will not be eligible for refund.

e)

A Standard Delegate has the right to appoint a substitute at any time without additional cost.

f)

All cancellations and changes must be submitted by email to secretariat@plea2014.in indicating the participant’s full name, invoice number and bank details for reimbursement.

(v) Changes to Conference Program
a)

The organizers reserve the right to modify the speakers and the times of presentations within the three conference days. If the number of participants is insufficient, the organizers reserve the right to cancel the conference and all related products and/or services without any liability on their part.

b)

In the case of cancellation of the event by the organizers, participants will receive a full refund of registration fees paid by them. The right of reimbursement is excluded if the organizers are not liable for impossibility of the event taking place or if cancellation is based on force majeure or on Act of God.

(vi) Privacy Policy
a)

All personal data provided to the organizers for registration will be treated as confidential. Further details of our privacy policy are available here.

(vii) Photography and Video Streaming etc
a)

The organizers may, free of charge and without the further consent of the participants, use and release pictures and videos taken of the participants and/or their works (such as posters, excerpts of presentations or lectures) during and after the conference for reports of the conference and future announcements of events.

(viii) Personal Property
a)

The organizers accept no responsibility for loss or damage to person and/or personal property.

(ix) Choice of law and jurisdiction
a)

Any and all litigation arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the Indian Law without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

b)

Venue for all litigation arising from this Agreement shall be Ahmedabad, India.

(x) Salvatorius clause
a)

Should any provision of this Agreement be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
