Paper Submission

Revised Full Paper/Poster Submission

Authors whose submission has been accepted as Full Paper or Poster are required to submit a revised submission for the final stage of review. Authors who have been notified the review results before Sept. 1, 2014 should upload their final submission incorporating review comments by Sept. 18, 2014 – 23:59 IST. Authors who have been notified the review results after Sept. 1, 2014 should upload their final submission incorporating review comments by Sept. 26, 2014 – 23:59 IST. Deadline would not be extended.

All submissions should be in PDF format as per the prescribed format of the conference. The submission will undergo a double blind peer review process with the same reviewers. Authors should not write their names in the uploaded contribution.

Guidelines for Submission of Full Paper:
 

Step 01: Log in to your ConfTool account through https://www.conftool.pro/plea2014..
Step 02: Go to ‘Your submissions’. Here you will find list of submissions which have been accepted for next stage for review with id 2***.
Step 03: Click on ‘Edit Contribution Details’ and ensure that all the details are complete and consistent.
Step 04: Click on ‘Save Data’ at the bottom of the page. This will take you back to ‘Your Submissions’ page.
Step 05: Click on ‘Upload Contribution’ to upload the revised submission in PDF format.
Step 06: Read the instructions in ‘Details’ section carefully. If the conditions are acceptable, click on ‘Choose File’ to upload full paper submission. Browse and select the PDF file. Click on ‘Upload File(s)’. An email confirmation will be sent to your registered email id.
Step 07: To replace a previously uploaded file before the submission deadline – Click on ‘Upload Contribution’. Click on ‘Remove Uploaded File’. Please note that this is an irreversible process.

Note that for submissions which have not followed all the above steps correctly, decision for acceptance taken by PLEA Secretariat would be considered binding.

 

Full Paper Submission

Authors of accepted abstracts are invited to submit a paper on or before 16 May 2014. The submission will undergo a double blind peer review processs and will be returned for revisions if necessary. Authors will then submit a final paper. Papers are limited to eight A4 pages for submission under Scientific / Research work category and three A3 pages for submission under Applied Research/Practice work category. If selected, authors will be notified for Oral Presentation or Poster Presentation. In either case, a paper will have to be submitted online via the conference management website.(https://www.conftool.pro/plea2014/).

Both draft and final papers must be submitted as a PDF document in the prescribed format. Use the template below as a resource when drafting your paper. Authors must also accept the Copyright Transfer and Disclaimer agreement.

Guidelines for Submission of Full Paper:

Step 04: Click on ‘Save Data’ at the bottom of the page. This will take you back to ‘Your Submissions’ page.
Step 05: Click on ‘Upload Contribution’ to upload the full paper in PDF.
Step 06: Read the instructions in ‘Details’ section carefully. If the conditions are acceptable, click on ‘Choose File’ to upload full paper submission. Browse and select the PDF file. Click on ‘Upload File(s)’. An email confirmation will be sent to your registered email id.
Step 07: To replace a previously uploaded file before the submission deadline – Click on ‘Upload Contribution’. Click on ‘Remove Uploaded File’. Please note that this is an irreversible process.
Step 08: In case of multiple full paper submissions, repeat the above process for each of the accepted full paper.

 

Presentation Oral/Poster

Two presentation formats will be used for PLEA2014. The Scientific Committee has selected the presentation format for each accepted paper. When you view your submissions, you will see one of the following decisions from the Scientific Committee:

  • The contribution has been accepted for oral presentation 
  • The contribution has been accepted for rapid oral presentation and poster 
The two presentation formats are described as follows:
1. Oral presentation: 12 minutes for presentation + 3 minutes for Q&A
2. Rapid oral presentation and poster: 5 minutes for the oral presentation to introduce the poster (not to exceed 5 slides: 1 title slide + 4 content slides) followed by a poster session where authors and delegates can interact. A poster of the paper to be displayed at the conference venue must be prepared in A-zero size (841x1189mm) portrait orientation. Authors should follow the poster size and must print their posters themselves. Authors will be asked to pin-up their posters on Monday, December 15, 2014 and to remove them at the end of the conference. It is recommended that a protective plastic coating be applied to the posters.
 

All authors must submit their presentation slides (PowerPoint or PDF format) via email to PLEA EMAIL before the December 5, 2014
